Suwon FC to host “Ladies’ Football Festa”

Amateur teams from Suwon and the surrounding area are invited to participate in a 6v6 tournament for the chance to win trophies and sporting goods.

Suwon FC are inviting local amateur football and futsal clubs to take part in the “2025 Suwon FC Ladies’ Football Festa”, set to take place on Saturday, 8th November at Nochong Sports Park in Suwon.

The one-day event will feature a 6v6 futsal tournament contested by twelve teams. Teams will be divided into three groups and play group stage matches of 15 minutes. The top team in each group will progress to the semi finals along with the best performing second placed team. The final and third place playoff matches will be ten minutes each way with a short half time break.

Teams from Suwon and across the capital area can register 7-10 players for the competition. Participation is free of charge but all players must attend the opening ceremony and take part in events throughout the day. Players with elite academy experience at any level are not permitted to take part.

There are trophies and prizes for the top three teams, with the champions set to take home one million won in vouchers for sports equipment. Clubs wishing to participate can download an application form from Suwon FC’s website and submit it to the club via email by 2nd November.

Suwon FC are currently the only club to field teams in both the WK League and the (men’s professional league) K League. The women’s team have had a disappointing 2025 season after lifting the trophy last year, but as 2024 WK League champions Suwon are now preparing for the group stage of the 2025/26 AFC Women’s Champions League. The squad will travel to Myanmar to take on ISPE WFC, Naegohyang WFC, and Tokyo Verdy Beleza in Group C, with their first match scheduled for 9th November.
