Cho Sohyun is heading overseas once again after spending the latter half of the 2025 season in the WK League with Suwon FC. The former South Korea captain, who has spent most of her playing career in Europe, has joined Canadian side Halifax Tides FC.
Tides FC is one of the founding clubs in Canada’s first division Northern Super League, which launched last year. The club finished in sixth place (of six) in the 2025 season and has signed several new players over the winter in a bid to rebuild the squad and improve results in 2026.
Cho will encounter several familiar faces when the league season kicks off in April, as compatriots Kang Chaerim and Choi Hanbin both play for Montreal Roses, while Lee Mina, Choo Hyojoo and Jung Minyoung are all currently at Ottawa Rapid.
