South Korea international Kim Shinji has been named in the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Scotland 2026 SWPL Team of the Year in recognition of her contributions for Rangers since joining the club on loan from AS Roma last August.

The Team of the Year is a best eleven of players from across the Scottish Women’s Premier League, voted on by players. Kim is one of three Rangers players included in the team, which was announced yesterday ahead of PFA Scotland’s annual awards dinner next month.

PFA Scotland describes Kim as a player who has made a big impression this season, bringing “composure, consistency and creativity to Leanne Crichton’s side” throughout a “productive loan spell” in Glasgow. Kim has made 23 appearances for Rangers across all competitions, scoring seven goals and recording five assists for the side. She has also been on good form for South Korea, scoring her debut international goal at this year’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup.

Kim, a graduate of Pohang Girls Electronic High School and Uiduk University before signing with Roma early last year, is due to return to the Italian club when her loan spell with Rangers comes to an end this summer.
