The KWFF has announced several changes to the WK League schedule in the weeks ahead. Here’s a quick summary — keep an eye on the federation’s website and social media in case of any further alterations.
Suwon FC fixtures moved due to AWCL
Suwon FC’s matches in Rounds 8 and 9 have been postponed until July due to their involvement in the AWCL finals last week. The club’s away match at Seoul City was originally scheduled for 15th May but will instead be played on Wednesday, 1st July. Suwon were due to travel to Hwacheon tomorrow (27th May), but will instead make the trip on Tuesday, 7th July. Kickoff is at 19:00 in both cases.
Gangjin Swans’ Round 9 home match postponed
The Swans’ home match against Mungyeong Sangmu was originally set to take place tomorrow (27th May), but will instead take place on Wednesday, 1st July at 19:00. According to the KWFF, the schedule change is intended to give new team Gangjin time to improve their matchday facilities.
Kickoff times adjusted for hot weather
Several matches in Rounds 10 and 11 will now be played at a later time to reduce the safety risk to players and crowds during the hot summer season. All matches in Round 10 (30th-31st May) have been moved to later kick-off times, with no changes to the date or venue. The Round 11 afternoon matches on 13th June will both take place at 16:30 rather than 14:00 as previously scheduled.
