Preview: 2026 WK League Round 10

A quick look ahead to Round 10 of the 2026 WK League, with all eight teams in action in a set of fixtures that could leave the league table looking dramatically different by the end of the weekend

There’s a full schedule of fixtures this weekend with all teams back in action for Round 10 of the 2026 WK League. Expect to see movement in the table as the clubs face off against their nearest rivals: 1st-placed Hwacheon head to 2nd-placed Mungyeong, 3rd-placed Incheon host 4th-placed Suwon, Sejong (5th) clash with Seoul (6th), and Gangjin (7th) look for a first home victory against Gyeongju (8th). Here’s a quick look ahead to a big weekend in the WK League.

Clashes at both ends of the table on Saturday afternoon

There are two matches kicking off at 16:30 on Saturday. Having started the season with a five-match unbeaten streak, Mungyeong Sangmu’s form have been less consistent in recent weeks, but they could go top again tomorrow with a win against current leaders Hwacheon KSPO. When the two teams met last month in Hwacheon, the visitors delivered a surprise defeat, but the reigning WK League champions have found some form and are unbeaten since then. Hwacheon should be able to take all three points from this fixture to maintain their position at the top.

Meanwhile at the other end of the table, Gyeongju KHNP will be playing at Gangjin’s Yongrang Field for the first time, hoping to record their second win of the season. Park Namyeol’s side finally claimed a victory away at Sejong in Round 9, although the manager himself wasn’t on the touchline to celebrate it — he is currently serving a two-match suspension for accumulated cards. With the pressure of a winless run now relieved, KHNP desperately need to build momentum. A win would see them climb to seventh place, but they will be playing against a Swans side equally desperate to break a losing streak of their own and record a first-ever home victory.

Saturday evening: Suwon FC return to league action in Incheon

After disappointment in the semi-finals of the AFC Women’s Champions League, Suwon FC are back to WK League business this week, heading to Incheon’s Namdong Asiad Rugby Field for the second time this season. In their Round 3 meeting, despite Suwon dominating possession, winning eleven corners and taking plenty of shots, Incheon were efficient, only taking two shots in the whole 90 minutes and winning the match 2-1. A win could see either team climb as high as the top of the table, depending on results in the Hwacheon-Mungyeong game earlier in the day.

Sejong host Seoul on Sunday in bid to increase the mid-table points gap

Sejong Sportstoto have had mixed results in the first few weeks of this season, but are still within touching distance of the top half of the table with 12 points from the first nine rounds. A win on Sunday against sixth-placed Seoul would start to increase the gap between the top five — clubs with (at least somewhat) realistic hopes of the championship playoffs — and the rest. That said, Seoul have a game in hand, and they travel to Sejong having come from behind to beat Incheon earlier in the week.
