Hwacheon KSPO’s WK League Round 27 and Round 28 matches, against Sejong Sportstoto and Seoul City respectively, have been rescheduled due to the 2025 champions’ continental commitments. KSPO will be heading to Kolkata, India in early November for the group stage of the 2026-27 AFC Women’s Champions League.

Hwacheon’s Round 27 home match against Sejong, originally slated for 19:00 on Wednesday 28th October, has been moved up to Thursday 15th October. The kickoff time and venue are unchanged.

KSPO were due to travel away to Seoul on the final day of the regular season, Saturday 31st October. This Round 28 clash has been moved up to this Wednesday, 23rd September. Kickoff is at 16:00.

It is as yet unclear what effect Hwacheon’s AWCL involvement will have on the WK League playoff, scheduled for Wednesday 4th November. While the club’s participation in the playoff is yet to be mathematically confirmed, it is extremely likely that they will finish the regular season in second place.

Postponing the playoff will have a knock-on effect for both legs of the WK League championship, originally set to take place on the first two Saturdays in November. Any alterations to the schedule will also have to take into account the final of the W Korea Cup. Either Suwon FC or Seoul City is guaranteed to play in the cup final, as the two sides are set to face off in the semi-finals next month. Suwon are almost certain to be taking part in the WK League championship final, and Seoul still have an outside chance of reaching the final via the playoff.
