The WK League summer transfer window ended over two weeks ago, but with business still going on in Europe, there is news from some of South Korea’s overseas stars.

20-year-old striker Jo Hyeyoung is set to debut in Spain’s top division Liga F, having signed a contract with CFF Madrid for the 2026-27 season. An alum of Gwangyang Girls’ High School, Jo has most recently been playing for Korea University, and captained the South Korean side at this year’s U-20 Asian Cup. Jo is not the first Korean to don the uniform of CFF Madrid — current Gyeongju KHNP captain and WK League fan favourite Jang Selgi joined the side in late 2019, but was released the following May amid uncertainty as the Spanish league was suspended due to the global pandemic.

Another bright prospect for the future of South Korea’s national team, Kim Seyeon, has signed with Rekord Bielsko-Biala in Poland’s top division Ekstraliga. Kim moved to Poland in January of this year and has spent the last few months with Ekstraliga side Stomilanki Olysztyn, following success at youth level with Daeduk University. 21-year-old defender Kim made her debut for Rekord this week in the second round of the 2026-27 Ekstraliga.

Meanwhile, Choi Dakyung has moved away from the Polish league, signing with Thonon Evian Grand Geneve in France’s Seconde Ligue. The 25-year-old former Mungyeong Sangmu forward left military life behind last year to join Pogon Szczecin.
